I Still Got It! - Trying Heroes of the Storm (After Over One Year)

This does not mean I'm gonna start playing HotS on a regular basis again but the Deathwing announcement got me to try the game and see how it has fared over the past year.
At a first glance it still seems the same game I remember so today it's time for my old Greymane routine.

Heroes of the Storm (originally titled Blizzard DOTA and later changed to Blizzard All-Stars) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and OS X. The game features heroes from Blizzard's franchises including Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Overwatch and The Lost Vikings.

Warframe Riven Disposition Changes - My Poor Fulmin (Atlas Prime Patch)

Another couple of months have gone by so it's time for another round of Riven Disposition changes.
This time around the biggest hit is to the Fulmin which received a minus point two and the usual nerf on the Rubico.

Outside of the Rubico nerf most prominent Eidolon hunters were left alone so it's not to terrible.
Great buffs for the Nagantaka, Gammacor and Quanta, all weapons I enjoy are highly recommend.

Dauntless - Thoughts, Impressions & Gameplay (We Had Fun)

I caught somebody streaming Dauntless and I thought it looked cool so I garbed the guys and gave it a try.
These are my early impressions of Dauntless and so far so good. I'm enjoying the game despite the fact that I did have some nasty technical issues applying to the 21:9 aspect ration (also know as Ultra Wide) which I'm using.

I never played this type of game before and I'll check out the competition as-well. For now we have about five hours of gameplay heavily condensed for your viewing pleasure.

Dauntless is a free-to-play action role-playing video game developed by Phoenix Labs and published by Epic Games. The game initially launched in beta in May 2018 for Microsoft Windows. An early access version launched on May 21, 2019 for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, including full support for cross-platform play, and was fully released for those platforms on September 26, 2019. A Nintendo Switch version is scheduled for release later in 2019.

Aklex Prime VS Lex Prime (Comparison) - Heavy Caliber Combat (Warframe Gameplay)

This is something I always wanted to do! Put these two fantastic weapons up against each other because appearances might be deceiving. Both the Lex Prime and the Aklex Prime have their strengths and weakness but I believe that for the time being the Lex Prime is the way to go. Come next major Warframe update that might be changed because of the weapon exilus mod slots but we'll have to wait and see.
For the time being the Lex has the advantage of better accuracy and the lower recoil. The Aklex has a larger magazine capacity and better fire-rate but is hindered by a very heavy recoil. Making that increased fire-rate a bit questionable.
Riven Mod disposition is in favor of the Lex with three out of five while the Aklex holds two out of five. Prices are comparable, none of them being expensive.

As always it comes down to you and what you prefer just try to keep in mind that the weapon exilus mod slots are coming and they should change the outcome a bit. Whatever way you chose to go rest assured you are getting a fantastic weapon!

My Troublesome Atlas Prime Farm (Warframe Gameplay)

My Troublesome Atlas Prime Farm (Warframe Gameplay)

The latest prime to be added Atlas caused us quite a bit of grief on the farm. In all fairness, you should have four players with three of four syndicates maxed when a new prime comes out. That can make things a lot easier. Normally that's what we do but this time there was an exception that resulted in a several hour grinds for the Axi A6 Relic that drops the coveted Atlas Prime Neuroptics. Right now on the PC trade chat, this thing goes for over one hundred plat because of how long it takes to get a relic drop.

This was our little adventure farming Atlas Prime and I hope you enjoy it! The footage is from our Livestream :

Monster Hunter World (First Impressions) - It's Absolutely Gorgeous! (UltraWide Max Settings PC)

After I tried Dauntless it was time to see what Monster Hunter World has to offer! These are my first impressions after roughly thirty hours played on PC. Currently, the Iceborn DLC is not available for PC.

The one constant across everything I played so far is the absolutely beautiful landscapes that push you onward to explore and twenty-one by nine Ultra Wide enhances the experience greatly. The main plot is decent but nothing to write home about. Still, it should keep you playing the game.
The combat is a lot on the clunky side with all sorts of weird design choices for mouse and keyboard. The game is optimized for consoles and as such, it plays a lot better with a controller.
The main problem I had with the game is an atrocious multiplayer experience. Essentially there are plenty of hoops to jump through and a lot of waiting involved if you just want to play with your friends. Doable but frustrating.

And there you have it, my first impressions on Monster Hunter World. I will invest more into it because there's a lot of game here and despite my setbacks with multiplayer I am having fun and I want to explore more.

Monster Hunter: World is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. A part of the Monster Hunter series, it was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 2018, with a Microsoft Windows version in August 2018.

Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC White - Unboxing & First Impressions

My old gtx 970 was mostly everything I needed for 1080p gaming at 60 fps but when you try to push more pixels like 1440p or 2160p at 120 - 144 fps than you'll need a lot more horsepower. Enter the RTX 2070 Super which I consider to be the sweet spot between price and performance.
This Gigabyte version comes with a superior cooler and a small overclock over the reference version.
So far I'm pleased with the card as It performs well in everything I tried and the card stays quiet unless I activate more aggressive OC profiles. The looks are subjective nice and the RGB logo is not to "in your face" bold maintaining a cool look.
If I have one small complaint, I wish they would have included some molex to eight-pin/six-pin adapters in the box and perhaps a case badge.

"There's No Content in Warframe" (RANT)

The title says it all my friends, I feel like ranting so I will. Bear in mind this is a rare occasion. The latest thing that bugs me is the whole "there's no content" or "I'm bored with Warframe" or "OMG I QUIT WARFRAME" so I will address it in my own thoughts/options and style. This by all intents and purposes is a rant and should be treated as such.

Cernos Prime 2019 Buff Update (Warframe Gameplay)

The Saint of Altra patch was a blessing for bows in Warframe and while the big winner was clearly the Daikyu we should also take a look at the Cernos prime which became a lot more powerful and easier to use!
We're looking at fifty percent damage increase for charged shots and quick shots, ten extra meters per second as flight speed bringing the total to ninety-five and more importantly, tightened spread on the vertical fire mode and top arrow land on the reticle instead of the middle.
The Cernos Prime was an impressive bow before but these changes make it that much sweeter and powerful!

Atlas Prime - October 1st w/ Dethcube & Tekko Prime (Warframe Update)

We got official confirmation on what we already knew! Atlas Prime is coming in about a week on October 1st and he'll bring the Dethcube Prime and the Tekko Prime. Sadly no primary or secondary weapon for me to dive deeper into but the imagines looks really awesome!

Daikyu Eidolon Build (Guide) - There's a New Hunter in Town (Warframe Gameplay)

When it comes to Eidolon Hunts we have a few clear weapons that are capable of dispatching the sentiments in an efficient fashion.
Normally, a bow is not among these weapons but recent changes have propelled the Daikyu to new highlights making it now an awesome weapon fully capable of annihilating Eidolons with the correct build.

The Eidolon build that you chose for the Daikyu will depend on which frame you want to use it on as the popular Chroma has specific needs. Drop Serration for more elemental damage in that case with a priority on electricity and heat for the radiation combo.
For everybody else including Lady Mirage Prime use a standard build and make sure to include Spring-Loaded Broadhead. Normally this mod simply doesn't have room on a build but in an Eidolon hunt many mods lose their applicability making room for Spring-Loaded Broadhead.
Riven mods will make things better for this weapon just like for most weapons and my recommendation would be a priority on critical chance up until one hundred percent than a focus Multishot, Damage, Critical Damage keeping in mind who will use the bow.

The Daikyu is now a full-fledged Eidolon Hunting weapon and I fully recommended not only for hunts but also for everyday missions as long as you don't mind the core bow mechanics.

Warframe - My Favorite Fashion Frames Part III (4K 60FPS)

The third part of my favorite fashion frames and today we have Loki, Mesa and Hildryn! Fashion is a purely subjective topic so feel free to use what I show and make it your own with whatever modifications you see fit. Some items are tennogen but the very large majority of items used are standard and can be obtained with plat.

Warframe (Gameplay) - Mastery Rank 23 Test (Loki Makes It Easy)

When I have no idea on what content to make these mastery tests prove a nice breather.
The MR 23 test is simple and straightforward. Simply follow the mobile points around until they are captured (100%) For this you will need a frame that can take some damage and is a bit nimble so Inaros with some mobility mods is not a bad idea but an easier and perhaps cheesier way to do it is good ol' Loki or Loki Prime. He's got the speed and staying cloaked will bypass all damage.
All and All a rather simple but fun Mastery Test, enjoy!

Remnant: From the Ashes (Guide) - How to get the Void Armor Set (Rhom Desert Floor Squares Puzzle)

Today we'll have a look on how to obtain the Void Armor Set in Remnant. All you need to do unlock this set is get to the Monolith way-point in Rhom the desert stage. Head to the right side as you look at the monolith and open the door, continue sticking to the left until you reach the end of the line and screenshot the symbols that will be present on the wall.
After you have the symbol sequence head back to the original way-point and solve the puzzle starting from the middle square that showcases which direction represents what symbol.
The Void Armor set in currently considered one the of the best DPS armor stets in the game but it's extremely heavy so that's the trade-off.

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous creatures. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you’ll set out alone or alongside up to two other players to face down hordes of deadly enemies and epic bosses, and try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and then retake what was lost.

Remnant: From the Ashes (Gameplay) - And Then a Dragon Comes Out

Having finished my Darksiders play-through I decided to give this game a try and what I found is Dark Souls-esc type of game but apparently more forgiving and with guns. Now, that's an oversimplification as I'm not an expert on the genre nor did I ever care to much about it. We are about five hours into the game and so far the experience has been pleasant but as always, better with friends.

In this one, you will see me and two of my gaming buds cutting our teeth in Remnant From the Ashes. This is live footage edited from our streams. https://www.twitch.tv/leyzargamingviews
The highlight being our Boss Fight with Singe, a Dragon root creature that drops Dragon Links which is the key crafting component for the Smolder sword. In order to obtain said component one must first take-out the dragon's tail and then defeat him.

Dread VS Daikyu (Comparison) - The Title Match (Warframe Gameplay)

With the recent changes brought to bows in the Gauss patch, the Daikyu has become a serious contender for the "Best Bow" tittle.
Today we see the title match between the Dread and the Daikyu and to be perfectly honest this was a very hard and fun comparison to make as I can't pick a clear winner so you'll have to pick your favorite as I will provide all the necessary information so you can make an informed decision. If you want my two cents I would build and use both because why not?!
The main advantages of the Dread is the high base critical chance, faster charge time and slash-based damage.
The main advantage of the Daikyu is the significantly larger base damage. The Daikyu also has a better status chance but it's a puncture based weapon.
If you just read the pros and cons you would say that the Dread has the clear advantage but in actual gameplay, things become a lot more balanced and I would highly recommend Hunter Munitions base-builds for both weapons.

While I can't call a clear winner I can say that both of these bows pack a serious punch and you should be happy with either of the two. They seem evenly matched even in riven disposition which is four out of five so if you have a riven for either of the two, go for that one!

Daikyu Build 2019 (Updated Guide) - The Challenger (Warframe Gameplay)

This is an updated version of our 2018 guide for this spectacular Bow!
Recent changes brought huge buffs to the Daikyu. An extra fourteen percent on the base critical chance and a lot more base damage as-well. The cost was a small status chance nerf of four percent.
As you can probably tell by the resulting stats, this turns the Daikyu into a full-blown monster capable of going head to head with the mighty Dread.
The Daikyu still has its shortcomings thou, like the very long charge time and the inflexibility of releasing a half-charged shot. Riven disposition is four out of five and we can also expect a prime version of this weapon if DE chooses to grace us with an even greater beast!
As far as the build is concerned Hunter Munitions is now a must and even thou Daikyu Amalgam Target Acquired and Spring-Loaded Broadhead are great mods I could not find room for them on the build.
For Riven mod stat prio I would go for Multishot - Critical Damage - Damage - Critical Chance.

And that's pretty much it. I love bows and I can't be objective about them. My favorite was the Dread up until today but I do believe we have a serious contented on our hands. We'll see who emerges victorious!

Akarius Build 2019 (Guide) - Needlessly Gimped (Warframe Gameplay)

Gauss's trademark secondary weapon brings homing rockets that can deliver high amounts of area of effect damage at the cost of some serious usability issues.

The Akarius is a burst weapon that will fire two homing rockets in quick succession. The rockets lock-on to the torso section of the nearest target making aiming lose and head-shots very difficult as-well-as specific target selection. In order for the rockets to arm, ten meters worth of flight time is required. This "feature" is put into place so that self-damage is less of a concern even thou some warframes could benefit from this aspect. Once armed the projectiles will detonate upon contact in a five-meter radius dealing blast damage.

Critical stats are very low and Harrow interactions are also discouraged. With all that and the weapon can still pack quite the wallop but the final nail is the super low ammo capacity of thirty, effectively fifteen shots. I don't understand why the developer felt this was necessary and I hope that a future patch will expand this ridiculous ammo pool. Given the very low amount of ammo Carrier doesn't do that much good but in normal missions facing low-level targets, this should not be an issue as you're going to constantly pick-up ammo off the ground.

Long story short, The Akarius is a cool weapon that can deliver a punch but is hindered by a few usability issues. If you're looking for something that has an automatic lock-on feature than this is a solid option but if you don't care about this mechanic than feel free to skip this weapon entirely.

Warframe - Awesome Bow Stat Changes (Gauss Patch)

The Saint of Altra patch brought many goodies but also some epic bow stat changes! We're looking at greater quick shot and charged shot damage for all the bows (except the Lenz) and in some cases even some projectile flight speed increases.

The biggest out of all of them would be the Daikyu which now has a base critical chance of thirty-four percent. This should make a huge impact on the weapons performance and I'll redo my review as we may have a new bow king on our hands!
