"LET ME TRY" Series
"Let me try" is a first impression series made as buyers guide. You can get a idea of what a product looks and feels like before you decide to make a purchase or not."Let me try" IS NOT a review series, take all information presented with a grain of salt.
Doom Eternal - Essential Thoughts & Impressions
After finishing the game it's time to share my thoughts (as per member request) and impressions on Doom Eternal. You should know that this will contain just a brief overview and it's in no way a full fledged review. I'm also a fan of the series so my opinion can't exactly be objective. Another thing of note is that I will not make additional productions on Doom Eternal since YouTube's monetization policies classify such content for "limited ads" for obvious reasons.
That said, I hope you enjoy!

The Potato Buddies (Episode 1) - Don't Buy a Bad PSU (Destiny 2 Gameplay Zero Hour)
Today we have Destiny 2 on the menu and some kind of Dungeon named Zero Hour. At the end of said dungeon an awesome weapon named Outbreak but we're having some difficulty completing the challenge this being our FIRST TIME TRYING IT.

Dauntless - Thoughts, Impressions & Gameplay (We Had Fun)
I caught somebody streaming Dauntless and I thought it looked cool so I garbed the guys and gave it a try.
These are my early impressions of Dauntless and so far so good. I'm enjoying the game despite the fact that I did have some nasty technical issues applying to the 21:9 aspect ration (also know as Ultra Wide) which I'm using.
I never played this type of game before and I'll check out the competition as-well. For now we have about five hours of gameplay heavily condensed for your viewing pleasure.
Dauntless is a free-to-play action role-playing video game developed by Phoenix Labs and published by Epic Games. The game initially launched in beta in May 2018 for Microsoft Windows. An early access version launched on May 21, 2019 for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, including full support for cross-platform play, and was fully released for those platforms on September 26, 2019. A Nintendo Switch version is scheduled for release later in 2019.

Monster Hunter World (First Impressions) - It's Absolutely Gorgeous! (UltraWide Max Settings PC)
After I tried Dauntless it was time to see what Monster Hunter World has to offer! These are my first impressions after roughly thirty hours played on PC. Currently, the Iceborn DLC is not available for PC.
The one constant across everything I played so far is the absolutely beautiful landscapes that push you onward to explore and twenty-one by nine Ultra Wide enhances the experience greatly. The main plot is decent but nothing to write home about. Still, it should keep you playing the game.
The combat is a lot on the clunky side with all sorts of weird design choices for mouse and keyboard. The game is optimized for consoles and as such, it plays a lot better with a controller.
The main problem I had with the game is an atrocious multiplayer experience. Essentially there are plenty of hoops to jump through and a lot of waiting involved if you just want to play with your friends. Doable but frustrating.

JUJU (PC Game on Steam)
JuJu is a delightful platformer aimed at a more casual crowd. Make no mistake thou, this is a modern platformer having all the elements it needs.
It's not a particularly hard game but then again you will not exactly play it with one had. There are secret areas to complete and bosses to beat!
Perhaps a ideal crowd for this specific tittle would be children but any fun loving adult can enjoy it as-well.
There is 2 player co-op either both on keyboard or controller or one of each. You can drop in and out of co-op without needing to restart or go back to a checkpoint or any of that nonsense, just drop in and drop out.
My only issue with JUJU is that it seems to be tailored more for girls then for boys. There is a male version of JUJU which you can play in CO-OP but you cant use said character in single player... which i find really odd.
Fore more details you can check out my first impressions video on JUJU :

Distance (Early Access PC Game on Steam)
A solid racer overall, it has all the elements to be both fun and competitive, following that hard to obtain recipe of easy to learn but hard to master.
It is also a ton of fun if you have somebody to play with, either online or split screen for which you can have up to 4 players on the same screen.
So in short... Drive fast, be quick to avoid obstacles and keep your eyes on the track!
I had no issues with the game being completely fictional and very polished for a early access tittle.
Check out my initial impressions video for more details :
I started playing racing games during the glory days of Carmageddon and "FZR2000" ;) and i have remained unimpressed ever since NFS Underground.
It's hard for a racing game to impress nowadays... Why ? well we kinda seen it all... haven't we ?
I mean.. what could they possibly do to impress us ?
Well Distance did it...
The game features a fresh take on the trackmania recipe with pleasant Tron-ish graphics.
The soundtrack is ok but considering the way the actual game plays ...perhaps something a bit more "strong" would have been better.
You don't get to chose from X number of cars and have only one which is slightly customizable...a color here and a accent there. Strangely i never felt the need to change my car and i never felt like the game would benefit from a larger variety of vehicles.
So what is this game all about ?
Driving as fast as you can and avoiding all obstacles as swiftly and as elegantly as you can.
The game features several game modes such as Sprint, Stunt, Speed and Style, Challenge etc...
When it comes to multiplayer we have either split screen (up to 4 players, only one can use keyboard the rest have to use controllers, and in 2 player mode you can chose vertical or horizontal split screen) And then we have the online component for up to 6 players.
The game includes a full and very complete level editor and steam workshop support (for which you can already download over 100 tracks). Obviously this can ad a ton of replay value, and if you fancy yourself a hot-shot designer maybe you will make the next "epic track".
There is even a single player campaign which is used as a tutorial and introduction to this futuristic high tech world (full of sharp/pointy/blunt death-traps that are in your way!).
During this campaign you will learn how to barrel roll, fly, hover and glide in zero gravity.
The games main mechanic is the boost. There is no recharge time for it like in most games but you do need to be careful not to overheat or else you go BooM! There are some gates which will either partly or fully cool and regenerate your car for all the damage taken up to that point.
Something i really liked was the way the HUD is done, it is mostly integrated into the game elements, which dose lots for the overall feel of the game. There are some who do not like this aspect because at times the HUD is not visible. In my opinion this is not a big deal because a game such as this should be played by.. "feel" if that makes any sens...
Another design element i really appreciate is the way vibration is done for the 360 controller. This is used to GRADUALLY warn you about how overheated your car is. This means that you can keep your eyes on the track and off your rear bumper.
When it comes to the ugly "early access" tag i would go as far as to say that Distance dose not really need it. The single player campaign is not complete and the mouse is not functional in all menus... but these are all the early access "scars" i could find in my time with the game.
I can go on and on about Distance but i don't wanna bore you to much so let's wrap-it up.
"The Good"
-The Track Editor- is not exactly user friendly but its a very complete tool
-The Graphics- although graphics are a rather subjective topic in my opinion
-Gameplay- rock solid, pure gaming, no nonsense
-HUD Design- this is the way a HUD should be done in modern games, yes it has some issues, but its a big step forward from the classic and outdated designs.
"The Bad"
-Only 6 players in online multiplayer...How Could You ?!
"The Meh"
-Soundtrack- I believe there are much better options for a game that plays like this...but again this is a subjective topic by nature.
What else is there to say ?
Drop the clutch, boost to max, juke the spikes and i'll see you at the finish line...if you get there ;)

Foresight (PC Game on Steam)
Today's RTS options are rather limited and i was hoping Foresight would change this. Sadly it dose not...let's get into it.
I am going to let you know from the start that the game feels rushed and unfinished. It feels more like Early Acces rather then release material. It has forced vsync... which creates mouse lag... in a RTS game this is not acceptable. You can work around this... for nVidia users you can create a profile for the game in the nVidia control panel, and force vsync off. This will resolve the lag issue and unlock the frames.
There is NO controls menu.. so never-mind changing keys on a PC tittle... you can not even see what the controls are... and the tutorial dose not do the best job of pointing them out. The voice acting in the game is nothing short of terrible... it would have been better with text only. The graphics... are bearable for a tittle of this price but i seen better graphics on games that cost half as much. The AI dose not prio attacking units from structures and it just mindlessly plunges ahead shooting the first red thing it comes across regardless of whatever else it has around. At least this is what i found from the first 3 missions which is all i could go through before being to frustrated to continue. This is mostly because of the awkward controls and the lack of information about the controls. Because i did not play past the third mission i can not speak to the actual strategy in this game... what it prioritizes, what are its values or what approach it takes. It's not all bad... there are some good ideas here. The squadron / fleet concept is very interesting from my perspective and so is the sector mapping, the artwork presented in the cut-scenes is top notch! But all of these pale if the gameplay hinders the player. I do not know why Strides rushed this tittle out...but i got a sneaking suspicion (the usual reason)
I hope they will be allowed to continue the development of this project and that in time we will get a decent RTS out of it (at least...)
For now however i can find no justifiable reason for spending 23 euro on this version...maybe if you are really REALLY passionate about RTS games...maybe then. What else can i say... another sad day for RTS fans...unfortunately we kinda got used to it by now.

Congo (Early Access Steam)
Congo is a top-down Co-op Action horror survival game where you have to complete objectives while fending-off hordes of "demons".
Along the way you will need to gather resources such as weapons, ammunition, revive kits, compasses, maps ? and so on and so forth.
If you ignore the boxes of resources you'll quickly find yourself either dead from a severe case of lack of bullets or that you can not proceed because you forgot to pick up a pair of pliers or a canister of gas.
From my time with the game i can tell you its much more fun with friends then in single player (just make sure your friends can shoot straight...)
So, the best recipe is to gather a few mates grab a pizza and have a go at it.
The boxes containing resources are randomly generated adding a bit of replay value... so you will not know where to get X tool or Y weapon.
The "something is coming" feeling is well felt mostly because of the sound-work, the tropical white-noise plus the vegetation displacement sound effects are done very well and relay the intended message to the player.
The graphics are decent for a game of this price, delivering on what it's suppose to while being nothing special. The animations are "off" if you ask me but i hope this aspect gets some attention during the early access stage.
There are no checkpoints which i found, so if you mess-up and die you get punished for it and have to begin from the start of the mission. I detest the current hand-holding trend so this is a big plus for me.
The camera did play a few tricks on me but considering this is early access i expect this to be resolved by launch. Camera can always be tricky in these top-down games....not my favorite.
I do hope they add more levels, more objectives and a much larger variety of enemies to fight, the monkeys do get boring after a short while.
In my opinion it looks decent for a Early Access Tittle, much better then many others that come along asking much higher prices.
I did not run into any game-breaking bugs, just a slight pop-in here and a slight stutter there.
I did not play a ton of the game so take all information given here with a grain of salt and as always judge for yourselves if this tittle is worth your time and money.

Dragon - The Game
Dragon wants to be a open world RPG where you play a actual Dragon and can evolve over time.
The concept details moral choices for your character ( yes.. the dragon) and loads of customization.
There are good signs of things to come but today (09/11/2014) there is no reason i can think of that anybody should pay the obscene asking price of 18 euro. You can not charge such a price for a product in this state, even IF it will evolve over time.
Being a very ... VERY early access the game is filled with bugs and glitches, expect everything.
What can you do today (09/11/2014) in the game ?
-Fly as a dragon (when it dose not buggout)
-Use flame breath to burn down buildings
I honestly hope that this tittle will become something great, but that day is not today (09/11/2014)
I will check back on this tittle when updates are available and maybe do a follow-up video if i think it's warranted.
In the mean time you can check my initial impressions video

Magnetic by Nature
So what is Magnetic by Nature ?
It's a puzzle platformer centered around one mechanic. Magnetism.
You can attract yourself to these magnets or attract them to you in order to position them properly to pass through the level. You can repel yourself off them or repel the magnet itself into a favorable position. Depending on what series of levels you are doing there are additional mechanics that interact with the magnets to offer more gameplay variety.
How dose it "feel" like ?
How can i describe this to you... it feels.. relaxing...harmonious if you will. It gives off a vibe i only found in Journey (yes i'm willing to go that far!). The graphics are simple but classy and don't steal you away from the game itself and the music sets the "laid back" atmosphere of the game
What am i supposed to do ? Where is the difficulty ?
Enjoy the experience, just sit back in the comfort of your chair or couch (fully playable with mouse and keyboard, keyboard alone and 360 controller) and just go through the game without trying to achieve anything, just go with the flow.
Tiered after a long day at work ? had one of those days ? Want to take a blunt object and re-arrange your bosses anatomy ? Fire-up MBN and unwind, belive it or not it can work wonders.
The difficulty dose not come in the shape of "how hard it is to pass a level" but in "how fast can you finish a level".
Story ?
Through a short but heart-warming intro that shows a little robot all alone and sad because he cant reactivate one of his robot friends MBN got
me more interested then triple-A 5 minute intros. I genuinely wanted to repower my sad looking robot friend. Can't get that feeling in CoD now can you ?...
That's all i have to say because i don't want to spoil anymore.
In my opinion this is how "lore" should be done in a platformer, short, to the point and effective. Not many people play platformers for the lore, most do it for gameplay... don't you ?
My thoughts ?
It's one of the few original releases i seen all year.
Considering the price, the feel, the look and the new mechanics... It's a no-brainer.
If you chose not to give it a shot then you will be missing out on a great experience.

NS2 Combat
A frantic team based shooter with great strategic possibilities and some decent play-stile options.
I found the aliens to be a bit more fun then your average run of the mill marines but both sides have something unique to offer.
If you enjoy fast passed team shooters then you should enjoy this.
The only con i found is that atm there are only 5 maps and 2 game mods... would have loved to see some more of each. However the developers did state that they are committed to enrich these two aspects and more.
And maybe that some animations are a bit "off" but at this price you can't really expect the triple A treatment.
Keep in mind i never played the original Natural Selection 2 so i do not know how it stacks up against the combat mod in NS2. I say this because i see some people are up in arms against this tittle because of the existence of said mod in NS2. My advice ? judge for yourself and make your own decision whatever that may be.
This video should give you a clearer view on the game itself and hopefully assist you in your decision.

A.R.E.S Extinction agenda EX
A competent platformer that does not try to modify the genre in any way. Recommended for die-hard fans of action based platformers.
This video should help you make a decision.
