Uninfluenced honest opinions about the gaming industry and its current state. Currently we focus on Warframe & other formats like: News, Updates & Game Reviews
With the Introduction of Nightwave and the Wolf of Saturn Six we get a brand new weapon augment called Wild Frenzy for the Grakata and of course, it can also be used on the Prisma Grakata.
I ran a bunch of tests and there are some good news and less good news.
First thing is that the ammo refund is to your ammo pool not to the magazine.
Weapon can be interrupted by dashing or rolling.
The Prisma Grakata becomes very hard to manage at four hundred percent extra fire rate and you can use Stabilizer to make it easier to aim. Another worthy recommendation would be punch-through and you can also try some magic with magazine capacity but we're already making a lot of compromises for Wild Frenzy.
To sum up my thoughts on Wild Frenzy, I believe this is not meant to be a "power" mod but rather a cool/fun little option for the Grakata.
Today we will be having a look at Arcanes which are enhancements for your Warframe, Operator, Zaws and Kiguns. For the sake of not spoiling anything, we will keep to Warframe Arcanes.
The guide also includes a showcase on how double stacking the same arcane works in Warframe with the hope of clearing-up as many questions as possible. Sadly for all of us, the UI doesn't do the best job at relaying key information regarding Arcane procs.
With the release of Hildryn also came a brand new Arch-Gun called The Larkspur and with it an Amprex-like version for our heavy gun collection!
The weapon features two fire modes. In the primary fire mode the Larkspur sports a high status chance bow low critical chance. The Primary beam does arch to additional enemies and without the use of punch-through it seems that a maximum of five enemies ca be damaged simultaneously. The range of the arch appears to be four meters from my own testing but the wiki claims otherwise.
The Larkspur also appears to be losing damage with each and every single jump. From what I observed approximately twenty percent per jump but I may be wrong as this was rather difficult to accurately test. Finally, the range of the main beam is a staggering forty meters!
The secondary fire mode is a charged shot that releases a plasma bomb with an eight-meter radius. The explosion can do self-damage and the shot can be held-in for about three seconds after its fully charged. The projectile has travel time but no projectile fall-off and it also benefits from "Infinite body punch-through" so aiming for the feet of opponents to get the explosion damage is highly advised.
It's hard for me not to love everything about this weapon. I'm all about spacey-futuristic weapons and this one checks all the right points and has a serious amount of power to back-up its looks! I highly recommend the Larkspur to just about anyone regardless of what build you chose, the weapon does not disappoint.
Today we will be taking a look at how do some players feel about the new Nightwave system, this was based on the poll we had about a week ago and you can find it here :
Lever-Action Semi Rifles were never really my thing but when Baro brought the Prisma Grinlok I thought I'd give it a shot!
The weapon offers a decent base critical chance of twenty-one percent and an outstanding critical multiplier of two point nine plus a sky-high status chance of thirty-seven percent. The full IPS range is found on the weapon with Slash edging-out the impact and puncture.
So far so good but the main drawback to the weapon lies in what it is. Another strong point of the weapon would its precision and the Grinlok exclusive mod Deadly Sequence that offers two hundred percent critical chance.
The Prisma Grinlok performed very well in testing being capable of one-shot high-level targets with the right build and a small bit of luck. I fully recommend a build centered around slash through the sixty sixty mods making a viral elemental combo and Hunter Munitions. With a build such as this, the weapon double-dips into slash sources.
This is not my style of primary and I can't say I enjoy using this type of rifles but there is no denying that the Prisma Grinlok is a powerful weapon and from my point of view the best lever-action semi rifle to date. If you're the type of player that enjoys those precision one-shots than you will have a blast with this weapon.
With the Buried Debts event we also get the Thermia Fractures grind that awards us the new Opticor Vandal. Normally Vandal weapons are direct upgrades to their normal counterparts but in this case, we are looking at more of a side-grade.
The weapon has received buffs to fire rate, charge time, critical chance, critical multiplier, reload speed and magazine capacity but also received a massive sixty percent base damage nerf.
Considering all of this many players are wondering if this is an actual upgrade or not. From a DPS perspective, it is an upgrade but it comes at the cost of personality since what made the Opticor infamous was the huge amount of damage it can deal with a single shot. Perhaps the damage cut was a bit overzealous or we are missing something.
At the very least we now have an option to the weapon. You can either stick with the normal version of the Opticor and its iconic one-shot damage or you can choose the Vandal for its agility, both weapons having the same mastery rank fourteen lockout which further confirms the idea of a side-grade rather than an upgrade.
Availability for the weapon is also iffy' since so far it can only be obtained during the Buried Debts / Thermia Fractures event but at least it comes with an Orokin Catalyst Installed by default.
Taking a more objective look at the weapon, it does pack one serious punch and it's fully capable of demolishing high-level targets. In tests, a Hunter Munitions base build has performed slightly better and now is more viable since the Opticor Vandal has a slightly higher Critical Chance.
What can I say? It's definitely not what I expected and perhaps that's a good thing but somehow I'm still conflicted about the idea of a Vandal weapon being a side-grade. Perhaps if I had not used the normal version before the Vandal I would have thought differently but as things stand now I want to see a base damage increase on the Opticor Vandal. It needs to be an Opticor.
Among the weapons we can purchase from the Arbiters of Hexis we find The Telos Akbolto. It differs greatly from the standard version with its status chance being increased to twenty-nine percent at the expense of critical chance which is low at only thirteen percent. Perhaps the best part of this weapon is the fact that it has an innate "Truth" effect which will release a twenty-five-meter radius explosion dealing gas damage upon gaining roughly two thousand affinity.
While testing the weapon I could not shake the feeling that a weapon such as this doesn't carter very well to its status chance strength and while it did decently well I'm going to recommend looking into the prime version if you enjoy a weapon in this style.
Riven disposition for the Akbolto family is fairly low as-well at only two out of five but from my perspective, they are still worth getting within reasonable prices.
Overall it's a decent secondary weapon but no more than that. In a game where you have a ton of options to powerful weapons, mediocrity gets left by the roadside. The Telos Akbolto needs something, something more but I can't say for certain what without making it similar to the other available options. Usually, syndicate weapons sit in-between Prime version and normal versions and this is the case with the Telos Akbolto as-well.
With such a wide variety of weapons to chose from it can be difficult to know what's worth investing in and what's not.
Today we're going to talk about my top 10 primary weapons in Warframe
All of the weapons on the list stand-out from the crowd in one way or another as in Warframe things are often more complicated than XYZ is better than ABC.
Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter video game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Originally released for PC Microsoft Windows in March 2013, it was later ported to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Spy missions can prove a bit problematic. Especially if they decide to show up in your Sortie and you don't know the tricks.
Today I'll show the optimal way to complete the Uranus Spy mission named Rosalind. I'd recommend you go for a Loki Warframe but the mission can be completed easily on any frame as long as you know exactly what you need to do. Even the Archwing sections become a breeze with just a few practice runs.
Today I have the absolute pleasure of putting two of the best weapons in a head to head battle, The Amprex versus The Ignis Wraith.
While these are some of the most popular and powerful weapons available there are a lot of key differences between the two. The Ignis has a much better area of effect capabilities while the Amprex has a sky-high critical chance of thirty-two percent which opens-up Hunter Munitions possibilities. When it comes to rivens both have a disposition of two out of five so riven mods will be fairly similar in terms of raw power.
Throughout all build tests, these weapons constantly traded blows and flexing their superiority in one area or another. After all that it's hard and somewhat unfair the pick of a clear winner but I will say that if you are looking for AoE above everything then go for the Ignis Wraith! For everything else including build diversity, The Amprex is the way to go!

Well, this one is a bit different from the norm. I started out by wanting to do a guide on what Rivens are but somewhere along the way, I bled-in some of my personal opinions on the whole system. Hopefully, this should get you a much better perspective on my perspective and overall I like that we have a system such as this but I do think a bit of tweaking can make it even better.

Once upon a time, The Tonkor was recognized as being one of the most powerful weapons in the game but it eventually received the bat and even thou it may not be Godlike it can still pack a punch.
The main drawback to the Tonkor is the magazine size of only one which will result in constant reloading. On the upside, the grenade launcher does possess a good critical chance of twenty five percent and an awesome critical multiplier of two point five.
The weapon performed well in most test keeping in mind it only requires Mastery Rank five to use.
As for a Build, I would encourage an emphasis on Hunter Munitions plus an elemental combo if a Riven mod is not available. Heavy Caliber works very well on the weapon and the accuracy penalty is mostly negligible. You can also opt for Argon Scope but I feel it doesn't cater very well to a weapon such as the Tonkor unless we take into account a Zephyr setup or other outside factors.
While this weapon is shrouded in the nostalgia of the good old days and how powerful it use to be I can't fault it as a low mastery primary weapon. It's not fantastic but it's certainly not bad either.
Time to have a look at another Arch-gun, namely the Imperator Vandal which can be obtained from the Fomorian Event. This is a rather common event and it rolls-around every month or so.
The Imperator Vandal is a minigun-like heavy weapon that can be used in normal mission after you install a garvimag over the orokin catalyst. The weapon sports a good critical chance of twenty eight percent and two point for critical multiplier in atmosphere mode.
The build is pretty straight forward since we don't have a vast collection of mods for archguns, no prime mods, no rivens but the developer did state that they want to introduce riven mods for archguns sometime in the future.
The weapon performed very well in all test being fully capable of mowing down hordes of enemies in a shower of bullets. The Imperator Vandal has a total of one thousand five hundred ammo but this can be increased to three thousand three hundred through the use of ammo chain and carrier or carrier prime with ammo case. Keep in mind this will not affect the maximum cool-down of five minutes when the heavy weapon runs out of ammunition.
As for a conclusion I love this weapon and mostly everything about it so I'm fully recommending it!
The topic of Best Bow in Warframe has always been a bit of a heated debated with two weapons constantly popping-up, The Dread and The Rakta Cernos.
To that effect today we will be punting these outstanding weapons head to head in a series of build tests.
Through-out all test the Stalker's weapon of choice has constantly performed jut a little bit better than the Rakta Cernos. The Red Veil bow does have an ace up its sleeve however, in the form of a syndicate proc which can make it a bit more favorable than the Dread.
Everything considered these are two of the best bows in the game an you can't exactly go wrong with either but the victor from my point of view and unofficial Best Bow in the game is the Dread.
Among the kitguns we got out of Fortuna we find a hit-scan automatic pistol based on the Rattleguts chamber. Just like any other kitgun the final stats will depend on how you prefer to build the weapon.
My recommendation would be either Haymaker or Lovetap for the grip as for the loader Splat or Killstream. It will depend if you want a high fire-rate weapon or you want to deal more damage per bullet and renounce a bit of that fire rate. The weapon will perform very well with either build.
Modding the weapon is pretty straight forward and I'd advise critical components since we can make much better use out of Primed Target Cracker and Primed Pistol Gambit. Considering the base accuracy of the weapon I'd avoid going for Magnum Force since the buff is not that strong regardless.
The ideal Riven Mod for the Rattleguts would be something like Critical Damage, Critical Chance, Multishot and a harmless negative provided you took the critical approach to the weapon.
The resulting weapon performed very well in all tests and can shred through high lever targets regardless of faction which once again reinforces the dominance of kitguns in the secondary weapon category.
At the end of the day The Rattleguts is yet another very powerful addition to the collection and I'd encourage you give the weapon a try.
Managed to make some time to give Anthem a try and see what all the commotion is about. I'm happy I got to try this game but it does have several performance issues at the current time. I'm hoping most of them will get ironed-out by the time of release but I believe that a "wait and see" approach would be ideal considering the developer / publisher combo.
For now I can say that this feels like a good game but it's blurred by a number of issues and concerns.
Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing video game being developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The game is slated for a worldwide release for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
Ever since Fortuna was released Kiguns have been sitting at the top of the Secondary DPS charts in Warframe. The Tombfinger is no exception and packs one serious bit of damage.
The weapon fires a round projectile that detonates on contact with the first enemy or surface, the explosion will deal by default pure radiation damage but any elemental damage added to the weapon will apply. The overall damage split is about fifty-fifty with all of the IPS types in the projectile impact.
The build will be affected by the parts you chose for your Tombfinger, I recommend trying it with Haymaker and Splat or Killstream which will result in the weapon having a very high critical chance of thirty eight percent with a two point three critical multiplier and sixteen percent status chance.
In testing the Tombfinger performed extreme well, as it's capable of going through high level targets like a hot knife through butter. If you manage to add the Pax Seeker Arcane than the weapon goes Godlike, projectiles results hitting targets for a truck and half worth of damage.
The only somewhat objective negative to the weapon would be the fact that it's projectile base and head-shots are crucial with any critical-based weapon.
Riven Mod stat priority will also depend on the weapon's configuration but in this case I would prioritize critical damage, multishot and critical chance above everything else. A harmless negative would be ideal as-well.
There's not much more to say other than the weapon is immensely powerful and I have enjoyed my time with it. Highly Recommend!
With the Introduction of Profit Taker we are finally able to use Arch-Guns on the ground in normal everyday missions! The process is a bit laborious at first and it does requiter a small investment in the form of Garvimag which will allow your Arch-Gun to be used as a heavy weapon. From my point of view the it's totally worth it as it can be a lot of fun and it breaths some life in weapons we'd otherwise probably never touch outside of their mastery points value.
As for the Fluctus, it performs fantastically well as it can maw down hordes of enemies thanks to its impressive Area of Effect capabilities. The build itself is rather simple and straight forward since when it comes to Arch-Guns we don't have that many mods to chose from but we should also keep in mind the current ammunition limitations of heavy weapons.
It's also worth keeping in mind that these weapons have two modes, one for Archwing and one called "Atmosphere" mode which is what we will be using outside of Archwing missions. All stats can differ greatly from mode to mode. The Fluctus gets a boost in Critical Chance, Status Chance and base damage as-well in Atmosphere mode.
Currently there are no riven mods for Arch-Guns but the developer has stated that they plan to add them to game. When exactly is anybody's guess.
While the weapon CAN be build at Mastery Rank Wwo you can't really use it in normal missions until you unlock profit taker from Fortuna which in turn requires you to be max standing with Solaris United.
As an Archwing weapon I didn't really care to much about the Fluctus but as a regular mission weapon I absolutely love it and I highly recommend it as it can pack one hell of a AoE Punch!
