The Phage is a status monster with low critical stats but usable enough so that Hunter Munitions is a viable option.
The weapon ca be built either for straight status with Corrosive and / or Heat but you can also integrate HM as you already have default viral on the weapon.
The shotgun does very well at single target damage but struggles (given its nature) with acolytes, taking a very long time to take one out, even with a raw damage build.
