With the Exergis I finally saw the opportunity to dethrone the Legendary Tigris and while the weapon did perform very well it was still second best.
The shotgun possess a very high status chance of thirty six percent which means we can build to the magical one hundred percent before multishot effects by using only three sixty sixty mods. The downside being that the critical chance is very low and only eight percent and the critical multiplier is the lowest of all primary weapons standing at one point four. While the default radiation damage is large the higher proc value is slash which means it's a prime candidate for a viral setup.
The biggest downside to the weapon would be the magazine of only one which means reloading after every shot but at least the default reload speed is quick at one point six second which in turn can be augmented with Chilling Reload or Seeking Fury to add even more punch through to the default zero point five.
Another advantage of the Exergis would be the high accuracy and good damage fall-off for a shotgun but on the other hand we are looking at a low default pellet count of only three.
Overall this is a strong shotgun for players around Mastery Rank eight and I enjoyed using the weapon as it looks and sounds fantastic. That said, later down the line you will be able to build a more powerful shotgun that plays mostly the same as the Exergis.
Testing and building the Akjagara Prime was a complete blast and I loved every minute of it. Being honest, I never payed that much attention to the regular version of the Akjagara but this weapon is simply amazing!
It can be build a few different ways being viable with a straight elemental build but I feel the weapon shines a bit more with a viral setup to better leverage the high amount of default slash on the weapon, which also means that we don't need to use maim in order to manipulate the status procs and thus freeing up a mod slot.
The Akjagara Prime received a massive upgrade from the regular version. Critical Chance, Critical Multiplier, Status Chance, Damage, Magazine Size, Accuracy, Reload speed, all received better values with the minor exception of fire rate which can be patched with Lethal Torrent.
What puts this secondary over the top is sky high riven disposition of five out of five in an episode that looks very similar to the Tiberon Prime release we got to enjoy a while back.
There's really not much more to say other than get and enjoy this absolute powerhouse of a weapon! Highly Recommend!
There are some weapons that are left forgotten and dusty somewhere in our arsenal, the Harpak is one such weapon. Featuring two fire modes and mediocre stats, the Harpak is a burst rifle with a Harpoon alt fire that can serve to crowd control important targets.
While the critical chance of twenty percent may not be stellar the critical multiplier of two point three is very nice so bonus critical additive after effect such as Arcane Avenger or Kavat buff will work very well for the weapon.
The weapon works fairly well with an elemental base build and a slash build through Hunter Munitions provided you can get the critical chance to a decent level. Adding Point Strike and Argon Scope to the weapon will result in a seventy seven percent critical chance and with Arcane avenger we can go to one hundred and seven percent. If we choose to go for a critical approach then Vital sense and Bladed rounds will bring the critical multi to about sever point eight which is more than respectable.
While I'm subjectively not a fan of Hunter Munitions base builds there is no denying that the Harpak functions a bit better with a build such as this.
To wrap everything up, the Harpak is a solid primary weapon in a sea of "solid" weapons which is probably the reason it doesn't get that much attention. It's not bad, it's not fantastic either but you do get a riven disposition of five out of five that can push the weapon out of the mediocrity pool.
Nagantaka Build 2018 (Guide) - Blood Queen's Crossbow (Warframe Gameplay)
When I first saw that Garuda will come with a Crossbow, The Nagantaka I was super excited as I love bows and x-bows!
After a fair bit of testing it quickly became obvious that this weapon wants to slash sporting a huge amount of slash and very high base status chance of thirty nine percent. The rest was mostly obvious with the sixty-sixty mods forming viral damage and further increasing that status chance so we get more slashes on our targets.
The results is a weapon that hits and slashes like a truck but lacks in the usability department. The projectile travel time is a bit lower then I would have liked it to be and there is also a slight arching to deal with as-well.
Most of the times I found myself using the burst fire which felt a lot more satisfying and you also get the benefit of a faster reload as-well.
All in all considered the Nagantaka is an outstanding slasher fully capable of destroying targets through bleeds but it asks a bit of the player as-well. Aiming aside, you will have to juggle between Semi and Burst fire modes depending on the situation but to me that constant shift between the two is a lot of fun and can be very rewarding. Recommend.
Akvasto Prime (Build) - The Double Six Shooters (Warframe Gameplay)
Warframe fans have been asking for the Akvasto Prime for a while not but I'm not sure if this is exactly what they wished for. The Akvasto Prime is a minor iteration on the Vasto Prime and I would call it a side-grade at best rather than an upgrade.
The weapon sports the same critical chance, critical multiplier, status chance and exact same damage values and layout so the build will be mostly similar as with the Vasto Prime with one major exception, Recoil. Not only did the magazine size increase to double but it feels like the recoil is doubled as-well making that increased fire rate hardly usable unless we sacrifice a mod slot for Steady Hands which will make the weapon a lot more manageable.
To make a long story short, the Akvasto Prime is a side-grade from the Vasto Prime with a larger magazine, better fire rate but also increased recoil and reload time. Builds will be the same, stat priority will be the same and overall it's mostly the same weapon. A subjective added benefit would be the cool factor of dual wielding guns, whatever floats your boat.
