Warframe (Guide) - Simulacrum Damage on Paused AI Targets (Mechanics Explained & Tested)

Many times I was told "you are getting a stealth damage multiplier on paused AI targets with ranged attacks" and many times I explained that this is no longer the case for ranged attacks. Melee attacks however will still get a multiplier applied versus paused AI targets. Here is the full info for further clarification :

Buzlok Build 2018 (Guide) - Regular & Eidolon Hunt Builds (Warframe Gameplay)

I have avoided the Buzlok for a while now but today it finally gets its turn. The weapon performed very well in all tests across the board including Eidolon Hunting which left me surprised. I had heard tales of the Buzlok's capabilities and now I get to enjoy them myself!
The weapon boasts a great critical multiplier of two point five and a decent critical chance of twenty three percent but it also receives a hefty fifty percent critical chance increase (bonus additive after like Arcane Avenger) if we use the homing beacon functionality. Couple that with a solid base status chance of twenty one percent and the Riven disposition of five out of five we got all the makings of a great weapon.

I have tested the weapon with elemental builds, slash builds through Hunter Munitions and I also put it up against Eidolon targets using 957 Chroma. In every way the Buzlok did great but the weapon does have some drawbacks. It's projectile based and in ordinary missions you don't really have the time to first use your beacon then take-out the target. This feature becomes a lot more useful in Eidolon hunts where you can get the prep time before the shields drop. While the Buzlok can successfully hunt Eidolons it can't stand against our sniper rifles (in terms of damage) but it can provide a helping hand to those who have difficulty aiming.

Overall the Buzlok is everything I hoped it would be and I'll gladly recommend this weapon to just about anyone.

Paris Prime Build 2018 (Guide) - Noob Bow No More (Warframe Gameplay)

Around Mastery Rank Ten I didn't know much about mechanics, critical chance, elemental damage, I was mostly just cruising through the game and having a wonderful time (How I miss those days)
The Paris Prime came and went for me like a breeze as I was enjoying my time with shotguns to much to drop them.

The weapon features a very high critical chance of forty five percent and a decent critical multiplier of two point zero. Status chance is decent as-well at twenty percent and base damage is heavily weighted into puncture damage with slash not being able to catch-up even with Fanged Fusillade.

Build wise it's a rather simple affair, the weapon performing very well with a Hunter Munitions Critical Chance build and under-performing with elemental builds. Viral would be a good match for such a build but even with the dual stat mods the consistency of Viral Procs leave a lot to be desired. Argon Scope and Bladed Rounds would make a much better pair if they are available to you.

Overall the Paris Prime is a powerful weapon with some stiff competition and the same drawbacks that plague most bows in the game. Recommend.

Warframe (Fortuna) - Solaris United Max Standing SPOILERS (Live Reaction)

Well that was a lot of fun! I had no idea that the vendors in Fortuna would reveal so much after you reach maximum standing with Solaris United. I love all the attention to detail and I hope the trend carries-on.

Paracyst Build 2018 (Guide) - The Infestation's Pull (Warframe Gameplay)

Paracyst Build 2018 (Guide) - The Infestation's Pull (Warframe Gameplay)
The look of the Paracyst is absolutely ghastly which is what I guess appealed to me initially, as it stands apart from other weapons. Looks can only get you so far and the Paracyst is not exactly the most powerful weapon I have tested, furthermore I doubt it would make it into a top ten. What it lacks in power it makes-up for in personality with a very cool alternative fire that allows you to pull enemies off their feet which can be very useful at times.
The weapon provides a high status chance of thirty percent and comes with default toxin damage which comes in useful for elemental combos.
One of the weapon's issues is that the critical chance is low at only ten percent and if we were to build it straight for corrosive then severe over-strip can occur depending on the target. This can be alleviated by either adding an additional elemental such as Heat to the weapon or adding critical chance and critical damage. Keep in mind that even with point strike on the weapon only reaches a critical chance of twenty five percent, pity about the base crit multi which is nice at two point zero.

Conclusion ? The Paracyst is a mediocre burst rifle with cool gimmick and a nasty look. And that's pretty much it, somehow I feel that is appropriate for a mastery rank seven weapon.

Sancti Tigris Build 2018 (Guide) - Double Barreled Purification (Warframe Gameplay)

The Sancti Tigris is a mastery rank twelve duplex trigger shotgun acquired from the New Loka Syndicate for one hundred and twenty five thousand standing. It features a twenty eight percent status chance, a fifteen percent critical chance and a one point five critical multiplier.

Being a pellet based weapon one option is to build the weapon for one hundred percent true status chance and this can be achieved through the four sixty sixty mods and Shotgun Savvy or three of the dual stat mods and Nano Applicator. This will result in many slashes being planted into a target as the weapon is primarily slash based.

The raw damage approach yielded mediocre results but a critical build and Hunter Munitions combo proved a bit better then expected. At the end of the day the status build was most efficient by a considerable margin.

Taking into account the specific New Loka proc the weapon doesn't bring much over the prime version that is only one mastery rank higher which is probably the reason why not many players use the weapon. I'd love to see the Sancti Tigris be reworked in to a critical weapon so it would differentiate itself better from her big sister.

Prisma Tetra Build 2018 (Guide) - Floaty Marshmallows (Warframe Gameplay)

When I saw the Kinetic Ricochet mod for the Prisma Tetra I thought this weapon ca be fun and worth the build and while it was, it was not because of that mod which will reduce maximum range of the projectile per bounce.

Hey guys, hello and welcome back. As always my name is Leyzar and today we're gonna be diving deeper into this Mastery Rank 4 Weapon - Prisma Tetra. I'm gonna be covering a cheap build, something affordable that anybody can build, but of course we also have a suited up setup with more expensive mods. That being said though, please keep in mind that my builds and guides follow a "New Player Friendly" approach, simply because there's a lot of info here, and I want anybody watching to understand how the weapon functions, and how it should be built, so if you're a veteran of the game and already know this stuff, you can skip ahead, or have a bit of patience.

The weapon features a decent critical multiplier of two point zero but a very low critical chance of only ten percent. Base status chance is good at twenty four percent and the fire rate is a bit slow but we can fix that with the help of Shred or Primed Shred. Being a projectile based weapon you will need to take into account the projectile travel time which is very similar to the Supra or the Dera. For a mastery rank four weapon it performed very well, my only gripe is that I didn't get the chance to use this while I was lower in mastery rank. Being a Prisma weapon it's only sold by Baro Ki'teer (or trade chat) and getting to him or having the required currency to purchase the weapon can be a tall task for new player.

Long story short, for a low MR primary, the Prisma Tetra does very well but by the time you get the weapon it might already be obsolete and that's a crying shame. It would be fantastic if this weapon could be a Mastery Rank Four Challenge Bonus.

Torid Build 2018 (Guide) - The Infested Grenade Launcher (Warframe Gameplay)

Torid Build 2018 (Guide) - The Infested Grenade Launcher (Warframe Gameplay)
When you see that a weapon is low mastery requirement you might be tempted to think that it's also weak. That's a fair assumption but many weapons in Warframe are a lot more powerful then their mastery requirement. I'd like to say that the Torid is one such weapon but I believe that it's somewhat appropriate for Mastery Rank four.
The Torid features mediocre to low base stats such as the twenty three percent base status chance and only a fifteen percent base critical chance. The weapon fires infested grenades that will let out a three meter gas could which will do four hundred (toxin base damage) to all targets in rage over the course of ten seconds. From here we can work-out elemental combos such as Corrosive and Gas depending on the circumstance. Riven disposition is four out of five so we can beef-up the weapon with a decent riven and I would recommend Multishot and Damage above everything else as the base critical chance is fairly low.

My opinion on this style of weapon is a bit bias as I simply don't enjoy the architecture and design pattern. Objectively speaking the weapon is fully capable applying tons of status effects in an area of effect which can be slightly increased using Firestorm. Overall I find the weapon slow, clunky, awkward to use and ultimately underwhelming but considering it's MR 4 I can't really complain to much, next.

Cycron Build 2018 (Guide) - The Other Beam Pistol (Warframe Gameplay)

Cycron Build 2018 (Guide) - The Other Beam Pistol (Warframe Gameplay)
Beam weapons never really disappoint and neither did the Cycron. While its overall performance is nothing stellar it still held its own.
The weapon features a high status chance of thirty percent and can be used as a Condition Overload primer.

In terms of build diversity I would recommend you skip critical chance and damage in this case as the base values are rather poor and focus more on status chance and elemental combinations. The good news is that by default this beam weapon comes with Radiation damage so we can have radiation and corrosive on the same gun which spells doom for the Grineer faction.
Overall the Cycron is a solid secondary weapon and a worthy option to the Synoid Gammacor.

Veldt Build 2018 (Guide) - The Revolver Rifle (Warframe Gameplay)

Veldt Build 2018 (Guide) - The Revolver Rifle (Warframe Gameplay)
Considering the approach to the Veldt I was expecting it to deal a large amount of damage per shot and it does, just not as much as I was hoping for. The Semi Rifle features two levels of zoom and you can changes this by using your secondary fire while in aim mode.
High amount of slash but also impact and puncture which will compete for procs. After some testing it became clear to me that a slash base build will work the best for the Veldt as the weapon can double-dip into slash sources. One from the weapon's innate slash value coupled with its high status chance and second from Hunter Munitions as we do have a decent base critical chance of twenty two percent.

Overall the Veldt is a decent weapon that can shred targets but considering the other available options it will take a specific type of player to enjoy this one.

Tysis Build 2018 (Guide) - Simple & Efficient (Warframe Gameplay)

The Tysis was suggested to me as being a powerful secondary weapon but I had my doubts and so for a while I mostly Ignored it. After testing the weapon I can say that it does pack a punch, while it may not be among the strongest secondary weapons in the game the Tysis can still hold its own. The weapon deals default corrosive damage so it will do a number on Ferrite armor and you can make it have multiple elemental combos that are not possible on other weapons. Corrosive plus Viral would be a good example.

Base Status chance is high at fifty percent so the infested pistol can reach one hundred percent true status chance with just two sixty sixty mods. That high status chance comes at a steep price however. Very low base critical chance at three percent and an below average critical multiplier of only one point five. You can use bonus additive after effects such as Arcane avenger to get some critical chance on the weapon but modding for it is not worth it. I can honestly say that the Tysis surprised me as I was not expecting it to pack this much of a punch and overall it's a good secondary weapon with the drawbacks of it being projectile based and not having a decent critical chance.

Glaxion Build 2018 (Guide) - The Shattering Freeze Ray (Warframe Gameplay)

Glaxion Build 2018 (Guide) - The Shattering Freeze Ray (Warframe Gameplay)
It's not exactly news that Beam weapons are currently very strong in Warframe but some are more popular then others. At the lower end of the spectrum we will find the Glaxion, an MR Eight weapon that doesn't see a lot of play.
The range of the beam is twenty four meters and it can be extended with Sinister Reach for an additional twelve. The Critical Chance is very low at eight percent but the status chance is high at thirty four percent so we will be getting plenty of procs out of the weapon. By default the Glaxion deals cold damage and it can be combined into Blast / Viral or Magnetic damage depending on the circumstance.

The weapon performed well with a corrosive elemental combo, perhaps to well as the weapon can fully remove armor from targets and thus nullifying corrosive's damage bonus. For this reason I only recommend a single dual stat mod so we can keep the status chance in check.
Fire rate proved to be a great dps increase and the magazine size and ammunition capacity can take the hit with no problem. You can either mod for fire rate or you can use Arcane Acceleration, or perhaps even both!
Overall I found the Glaxion to be a fairly powerful weapon despite its popularity thou it has to be said that among beam weapons it's certainly not a front runner.

Cernos Prime Build 2018 (Guide) - The Sophisticated One (Warframe Gameplay)

Cernos Prime Build 2018 (Guide) - The Sophisticated One (Warframe Gameplay)
The Cernos Prime has many interesting aspects which made it an absolute joy to test. Of-course intricacy without power isn't that rewarding but I'm happy to say that the weapon can pack one serious punch.
The bow fires there arrows at once in a vertical or horizontal spread and the damage as-well as the status chance will be getting divided among the arrows. Adding multishot to the weapon will not further divide the damage but it will the status chance much like a shotgun would function.
The Cernos Prime also features a fifty percent bonus damage modifier on headshots and you can check all this info out on the wiki as-well.

I've tested all sorts of builds in order to see what the weapon is capable of and at the end of the day a critical bleed build through Hunter Munitions worked best and has the potential to one-shot even high level armored targets such as Corrupted Heavy Gunner. Argon Scope would be a good plus to the build but if you don't have it you can go for a Viral elemental combo with either the sixty mods or the ninety depending on how satisfied you are with viral proc consistency.
The Cernos Prime is a fantastic bow and I highly recommend it as long as fully understand how it works so you can play to the weapons strengths.

Convectrix Build 2018 (Guide) - The Outcast (Warframe Gameplay)

I was told (sometime ago) that veiled shotgun rivens are awesome unless Convectrix or Sweeper. With one completely out of the way I decided to give the Convectrix a chance and what I found is a lot of wasted potential.
The Convectrix is a Beam Shotgun with an awesome critical multiplier of two point four but a low base critical chance of sixteen percent. The weapon also features a thirty percent status chance with it being divided among the two beams it fires. Being a slash based weapon you can chose a viral setup to maximize slash value but from my testing the weapon worked better with straight damage builds and not forcing the status chance as unlike most shotguns it's not getting divided among a ton of pellets, only two beams.
Due to the high critical multi but low base critical chance, effects such as Arcane Avenger will have a visible impact on the weapon and It will synergize very well with Harrow or the Kavat buff.

I'm honestly disappointed that a gimmick is keeping this weapon back as I believe it would be a lot better without it.

Catchmoon Kitgun Build (Guide) - The Unbridled Force (Warframe Gameplay)

With Fortuna came kitguns and so far I have been loving my time with the Catchmoon. You can build it in a number of different ways but after testing a couple I would recommend Catchmoon with Haymaker and Splat. This combination will result in the weapon having a thirty five percent critical chance with a two point three critical multiplier and a status chance of thirteen percent.

The weapon performed very well in all gameplay and simulacrum tests, being fully capable of clearing a room in just a couple of shots thanks to the Plasmor-like projectile. The one negative to the weapon is the way the projectile functions. In contact with a surface it will detonate and deal no damage which makes it a bit unreliable in small rooms where you can hit multiple obstacles because of the sheer size of the projectile. It works fantastically well in open spaces such as Orb Valis or the Plains of Eidolon but much less so in in-door areas.

Overall the Catchmoon can be a fantastic weapon when build correctly and I fully recommend the chamber in combination with the Haymaker grip and Splat loader. Have Fun!

Ocucor Build 2018 (Guide) - The Flabby Tendrils (Warframe Gameplay)

The Ocucor is a mastery rank eight secondary beam weapon added to Warframe with the Fortuna update. It sports a low critical chance of only sixteen percent and a base critical multiplier of one point eight. The status chance is beefy at twenty four percent and the weapon features a unique mechanic where it will start firing tendrils that automatically latch to enemies when you get a take-down.
The tendrils resent once the weapon is reloaded but this can be bypassed by using the Eject Magazine mod which can be obtained by doing Conclave.

I have tried many approaches to the Ocucor but the one that gave the best results was hybrid with critical chance and critical damage and two sixty sixty mods but overall the performance of the Ocucor was rather lackluster.

While the gimmick is cool, I don't see the need for the energy tendrils to be reset on reload as even with all of them active the weapon doesn't perform fantastically well. In my opinion the tendrils should remain active once you have achieved the necessary amount of take-downs. Overall the Ocucor is a mediocre weapon with an interesting yet lackluster gimmick.

Warframe (Fortuna) - Riven Disposition Changes (Buffs & Nerfs)

With the introduction of Fortuna we see some changes to Riven Disposition which will affect the stats of all existing riven mods.
You can find a full list of changes and the reasoning behind the changes on the official Warframe forums.

Some weapons got buffed, some got nerfed and sentinel weapons will be removed from the riven drop chance pool so I would get one for each before the prices get to high.

Gorgon Wraith Build 2018 (Guide) - The Status Gorgon (Warframe Gameplay)

I have always had a weak spot when it came to the Gorgons and while the Wraith Gorgon is not my favorite in the series it can still pack a punch.

The weapon features a low base critical chance of fifteen percent with a critical multiplier of one point nine but a good status chance of twenty one percent. Couple this with the high fire rate and ninety magazine capacity and we get a weapon that can apply tons of status effects to targets.
The Build is pretty straight forward with High Voltage being the only potential pricey mod but that can be replaced with Stormbringer in case you don't have the time or the plat.

I also tested various mod combinations to see how much I can get out of Hunter Munitions but at the end of the day a elemental setup such as corrosive will yield betters results.
One of the pluses to the Gorgon Wraith is the riven disposition of four out of five which means that you could potentially remove all the impact the weapon has and that would make it a lot more powerful. Riven mods are optional from my point of view but if you want to get the best damage out of a weapon look into damage / multishot rivens and if you can get minus impact that would be epic!

Overall the Gorgon Wraith is a good primary weapon fully capable of annihilating any target but it pales in comparison to other higher MR assault rifles such as the Tiberon Prime or the Supra Vandal or its big brother the Prisma Gorgon.

Spira Prime Build 2018 (Guide) - The Space Darts (Warframe Gameplay)

My quest for a secondary throwing weapon has come to a close with the Spira Prime. So far from all that I have tested this one has performed the best and I do enjoy using it.

The weapon features a high base critical chance of thirty percent and a high critical multiplier of three point zero but a rather low status chance of only fourteen percent.
I'd recommend a critical base build with both pistol gambit and Hydraulic Crosshairs to get the guaranteed critical with each and every shot and the usual corrosive elemental combo, but this one should be adjusted depending on the encounter.

The main negative of the Spira Prime (aside from being a throwing weapon) is that it has a riven disposition of only one out of five and we could also take into account that currently the weapon is vaulted and getting a full set can prove to be pricey.

While I do love the Spira Prime and consider it one of the best secondary throwing weapon in the game I can't help but feel that this weapon type needs a bit of a buff to bring them more in-line with what many other secondary weapons are capable of or give them a better unique advantage or reason to be used. Being silent is simply not enough.

Warframe (Gameplay) - LGV Halloween Fashion Frame Contest (Clan Exclusive)

This is our second fashion frame contest and we decided on a Halloween thematic! We had a blast doing it and we will do it again when the opportunity presents itself. Congratulations to all our participants and special thanks to my community members that worked hard to make this happen!
